I want to start this blog off talking about a vision I had one morning not to long ago. Recently there was all this controversy on social media about Christians and their choosing to attend a particular secular artist’s concert knowing that this artist dabbles in curious arts. I’ve heard alot of prophets really caution believers about attending this artists’ concert tour that is up and coming. There are various reasons why they are saying not to do so. I began to pray for the many that would attend these concerts that the Lord would protect souls. Keep and preserve the lives of His people. Remind Him of His word that says He wishes none be lost but that all might be saved (2 Peter 3:9).
As I began to do so this vision appeared before me in prayer. In this vision, an auditorium appeared and my prayers were painting the auditorium with red (with the blood of Jesus). As I was going up and down this auditorium painting, then appears this horse and rider. At first it had no trident and then this trident appeared in it’s hands. The horse and rider looked at me and then the auditorium filled with water. Then the Lord began to speak with me about caludrons. I know nothing about this I’m just saying what I believe I heard God say…
I began to see flames and behind these flames, I saw a devil’s lair and God was basically telling me that associated with each caludron is a lair and people who have been involved with this type of rituals and crafts are trapped in a lair in prison. This seemed to be a prepared place for the rituals that were done behind the scenes.
Why am I saying all of this? I’m writing to shed light on the fact that idolatrous acts committed against God can land you in a prison that you wouldn’t know how to get out of. Those who practice curious arts are always looking for sacrifices to render unto their god and it behooves us as believers to live a life of holiness and a life that upholds the standard of righteousness. It is our responsibility to gaurd, to protect, govern, to watch, and to keep our souls and whatever we partake in is apart of that responsibility.
So what exactly is idolatry? This is an excerpt from my soon to be released book, Prayer Chronicles.
IDOLATRY
Idolatry is when one puts a person, place or thing above the almighty God. If this thing has more of your attention, love and affection than God does, then idolatry is in full effect.
Idolatry is the perverted mind set that distorts in wickedness, man’s natural ability that God has placed in him to worship the Lord God.
Isaiah 1:21
21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
In Isaiah chapter 1, God was talking about Judah and Jerusalem. At one point they were faithful, reliable, believing, full of faith, guardians, trusting and trusted. These are the characteristics of those that are faithful unto God. Then something changed. They “back slid” as we would call it in this day or they have gone away backward as the bible calls it in Isaiah 1:4. The faithfulness that was once a characteristic of the city now lacked commitment and that commitment that had been given to God now had been given over to other gods. In essence, fornication and adultery had been committed against God. This is why this scripture refers to them as a harlot.
They were considered murderers because they would offer sacrifices to God and those sacrifices were not pure in heart. They had become something that they would do to appease the standards of God but they were not sacrifices of righteousness or faithfulness to God. Another view of this is anytime sin has gone into iniquity, it will lead you down the road of murder. Whether it be physical murder or murder that assassinates one’s self, character, identity, or projected image.
Let’s look at the heart of God concerning these practices.
Isaiah 1:13-16
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
None of their worship was accepted. Nothing they offered to God was acceptable because of the evil doings that were being committed that went against the commandments of God. This is what idolatry looks like; we ignore God’s commands and commandments. We are not faithfully submitted to Him in obedience. When our obedience is now turned to some alternate voice, and we exalt those thoughts and ideas before God, then we too have turned into a people that are idolatrous.
Now I’m going to use the book of Isaiah to give you a prophetic word about the times we are in.
The chapters within the book of Isaiah are truly what the Lord is saying in this hour to His people. He is addressing their sin. One thing that I noticed is as God had me studying about uncleanness and idolatry these were two of the very sins that preceded the judgment that came to Jerusalem and Judah in Isaiah Chapter 1. These two works of the flesh, that are heavy weights of iniquity, are two of the very things He is judging in this hour. They are not the only thing that He is judging but these sins are the very thing that led us to the condition we are in.
Sometimes we think that judgment is just this horrible thing but judgment comes to reset things, to bring order to chaos, to reestablish the order of God, to bring us out of the flesh and into the spirit. Judgment comes to wash away everything that is not of God.
Isaiah 4:4 reiterates this.
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
All of the verses quoted from Isaiah 5 are the result of living a fleshly life. Indulging without regard of the spirit, in the lust of eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Out of these sins we see that God sends woes out of the heavens. Woes are judgment amongst the people for their sins.
Let’s read Isaiah 5:14-30
14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
All sin has a consequence. The ultimate price of sin is death. The bible says it James 1:14-16 but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.
15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
The pride of life will always cause you shame and cause you to be made low. We can see this through the life and trial of the U.S. President Donald Trump. He thought he was above the law but every lofty person will be made low.
16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
Why will all of this occur, this will occur because God has a plan and a purpose and He will always be the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There is no one that can exalt their throne above God.
17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
Things and blessings that were preserved for you will now be given to strangers. Foreigners will come into your land and reap the benefits of your laws and labors.
18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Judgment to those who can no longer accept the truth. They call the truth offensive and vile and they call their disillusionment the truth and right.
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Judgment to those who follow their own counsel and think they know more than anyone else and doesn’t need anyone else.
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
And the following are the judgments that shall come because of the sin in the land amongst the people:
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
26 And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
28 Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
29 Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.
30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.
Verses 25-30 reminds me of a vision I just saw recently while I was in prayer. In that vision I saw the darkness covering the heavens and before the entire heavens could be covered, I saw this one circle of lighted sky. The Lord began to speak to me and He said to me, Nikkisha I still stretch out my hand to save my people. In other words, no matter what judgment falls on the earth, God is always looking for a way to preserve His people even when their hearts have failed towards Him and His law. It is His love that never stops searching to and fro for those who are in agreement with Him. So what is God saying through all of this? Turn away from your sins and give me your heart and that He is coming to restore His Kingdom in the earth and that through judgment there will be restoration to the divine order of God. God will come with judgement to establish His justice for His people. Just as it is stated in Isaiah chapter 2:
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
