The Lord began to speak with me and told me the next time you do a blog to do it about faith. As I began to be obedient to Him in writing this blog, He told me to call it faith on the rocks. So here I am writing by faith. Why? Because the just shall live by faith.
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God. Most times our faith is shaken just because we don’t hear the word of God regularly enough to be able to execute the finish product of what God has said. As citizens of the Kingdom of God, we have the anointing to destroy yolks. Yet we live out our salvation as if the objective is to go into devil’s camp and blow up some devils without producing a result because we access the situation at bay. What do I mean by this? This means we are not looking through the eyes of the word, just through the eyes of our understanding and fighting this place as well. This place is the place of carnality. Trying to render a spiritual result through our carnal mind. The result will always be flesh in this instance.
Faith is such a spiritual tool and should not be governed by our carnal mind and abilities. Faith produces fruit when it is applied to the thought of God that has been given to man. When we build according to God’s blueprint, we are now able to produce and manifest a product that is sustainable. That means we will have a spiritual result that God enforces and fortifies in heaven and on earth.
The truth is our faith is directly connected to God. It grows in power through our relationship with Him. Outside of Him, faith would not even exist. How can I make a claim such as this?
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
We see in the above scripture the exact point I’m trying to make. When we use our carnal mind to build a thing, we operate outside of the original intent of God as it pertains to our purpose. We create a lane for ourselves that was not a measure that God has given us authority in. We invite unnecessary struggle and battles. When we allow ourselves to produce a result based off the word of God, even though there is a work involved, we begin to enter into the rest of God. This means we are not exacting our work but leaving the work to God. All we are doing is just moving in obedience to the very thing that He told us to do.
I heard someone say it like this, whatever you build you have to sustain but whatever God builds He will sustain. So when you’re in the middle of a project or in the middle of birthing something and you come to a point where you are weary ask yourself, am I living by faith or have I been exacting my work.
Faith should look like a full container. When you see a full cup of water you see the evidence of something that looks invisible. You can see directly through the water. A cup full of water is almost as if the cup doesn’t have anything in it. It can look invisible. That is how faith looks on the inside of us. Faith is the evidence of things not seen.
Let’s look at Hebrews 11. This whole entire chapter speaks about faith. Hebrews 11:1 states the following:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The interlinear bible says it like this:
So we can see from this break down that we (the containers of God) are filled with the hope, assurance, and conviction of faith which makes it now. It is not realtive to what is happening in the natural eye it is relative to what is already operative on the inside of us. The measure that God has already given us to operate in the unseen and the seen realms. In other words, what is happening in the unseen is more real than anything going on in the seen.
Let’s explore the measure of faith operating on the inside of us. I was speaking with a friend, and she gave me this scripture which was so powerful to me. I believe this scripture defines the measure of faith so clearly.
The scripture is Hebrews 6:11-20
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
HOPE
To anticipate, expect, trust.
to hope, actively waiting for God’s fulfillment about the faith He has inbirted through the power of His love
One thing that is evident in the above scriptures is that hope has to run its course. There is a period of time where there will be anticipation, expectation and trust in the word of God. In hope you are actively waiting for God’s promise.
Let’s look at vs 11 and 12
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
These verses means that as God has spoken a word, that you remain in hope until that promise goes from being the promised word of God to the actual manisfestation of the word of God. So this is letting hope run its full course.
Look at verses 13-15
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
In verses 13-15 we see hope running its full course. This is even reiterrated in verse 15. After he had patiently endured he obtained the promise.
ASSURANCE
is the Lord’s guarantee to fulfill the faith He inbirths
Let’s look at Hebrews 6:13
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself
God could swear by nothing greater than Himself. This is the epitome of His guarantee. You can put your whole life of the word that God has spoken. Why?
Hebrews 6:18
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
GOD CANNOT LIE!!!!!!!!
So God speaks a word. He invokes hope. His word is the assurance because it is infallible and immutable. It cannot fail nor will it be mocked.
CONVICTION
proof, test
inner conviction focuses on God confirming His inbirthing of faith (“the internal persuasion from Him,”)
Last but not least of the measure of faith that works in us, CONVICTION!!!!!
God constantly reiterates His word to us. This is that internal confirmation and consistant echoing of what He has already said. He also does this through confirmation through others, through previous testimonies, through the word (the testaments of God), through the elements, through man abilities, through favor, and through dreams and visions.
All of this together builds an internal case within that God will never leave of forsake us and that His word is true.
