Our salvation is law fulfilled. It literally is our law book, our constitution. Our salvation literally is a legal document.
We can see this in Ephesians 2:8-9 that says,
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast
Faith is the principle thing here and it is not something that we did anything for but it is THE GIFT from God.
Galatians 5:18-26
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Jesus fulfilled the law. So our salvation no longer looks like the work of being made right because He already paid the cost for that but now our salvation is to obey Him and you we this out of love.
If you love me you keep my commands. John 14:15
The instructions He gives are not just from the law (because Jesus came to fulfill it not do away with it) it is from the place of love which is a more better covenant.
This manner of obedience in our salavation is seen again according to Romans 1:17
the just shall live by faith.
That means we live by the legal document of our salvation.
“Just” in that scripture is a legal term. It stands for the legality associated with our salvation.
What do I mean by that? We are to live by the word of the King which is the law.
Matthew 4:4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. The bible is higher than our knowledge. We as man often try to bring our salvation back to our knowledge which is the fallen state of man. This will always bring us back into operating out of the law.
We should always strive to bring our understanding to the high level thought of God and not operate in the opposite of this which makes it less than and diminishes its potency. The high thought is the word of God (written word and revealed) and is unrefutable and by this word we walk by faith which is the faith of our salvation.
